Is there a way of getting the vehicle image and dimensions from the library window into CAD?

Yes, you can use the insert vehicle profile command. The icon is the side profile of a rigid truck with a dimension line below. It also can be inserted and managed by the Report Wizard in the page headed "Profile" - simply tick the box "I want to display a diagram as follows"
